State of Virginia:- Sct:

I, Chas. P. Janney, Clerk County Court of Loudoun County in the State aforesaid hereby certify that a tract of land containing ten acres more or less with a grist & saw mill thereon upon the Catoctin Creek in said County adjoining the lands of Sydnor Bennett and others was conveyed by Samuel Cooper and Mary his wife to George Umbaugh in trust to secure to John Heater and John Umbaugh sundry debts amounting in the aggregate to over Fifteen Hundred ($1500) (with ten years interest thereon) by deed of Trust dated March 8th, 1861

And I further certify that said deed of trust has never been released but that the legal title to said land is still vested in said George Umbaugh, trustee as aforesaid, so far as is shown by the records of my office.

Given under my hand and the Seal of the said Court at Leesburg Va this 24th day August 1867.
