Respectfully returned: the number of men now absent from the Battery on account of sickness and in confinement is so great as to render it impossible for me to dispense with the services of Pte. Tunison -

Further I should, in any event, deem his detail very objectionable in view of his general lack of trustworthiness and of his previous bad conduct.

In this connection the attention of Bt. Brig. Genl. Brown is also respectfully requested to the provisions of G.O. No. 67 A.G.O. Series of 1866.
