"I have one first Lieut at Williamsburg, acting as Commissary for your Bureau, I wish to have him relieved as my Regt is ordered to Washington to muster out. Can you not appoint Someone in his place? Lieut, you will immediately make application for the farm of Dr John Garneth Situated on the Nine Miles Road, Six miles from this City. Said farm having been abandoned on or about the month of October 1864.
