I have the honor to inform you that John A. Strachau Esq'r of Point of Rocks, of whose farm you once took possession has applied for the restoration of his lands.  He claims to come within the limits of the amnesty proclamation
"Can you - General - give me any information, or can you advise me where to apply, to ascertain, as to the loyalty or disloyalty of this man,"?
