You will call on the Quarter Masters Department for transportation necessary within your District. In other cases makeup a list of the names of persons who desire transportation to gather with the places to which they desire to remove with the reasons for such removal, and why they cannot pay for their own transportation - and forward the same to these H'd. Quarters.

I beg leave to call your attention to the following statement. Simon Braxton has been living with and working for Carter Lee. Esq'r - Fire Creek Mill - Pouhatton Co. Since the occupation of Richmond - His wife - Daughter and Son have worked also. He was promised a share of the crops - has rec'd nothing but rations of bread - Mr Lee has now discharged him without payment. Please instruct the officer in that County to give this matter his immediate attention.
