Maria Garnett makes complaint against Isiah Higgins Esq, her former master - living on Black Creek, near Cross Roads New-Kent Co - He promised to pay her. Kept her till the crop was secured and turned her off beating her severely -. Also, T. Lacey Esq near Laceys Mills in New-Kent Co has a son of Patsy Price, 9 years old - He was ordered from this office to give him up but has failed to do so. Please have these cases investigated, and report -,

Sally Jackson makes complaints at this office against John Taylor at Wakefield King Wm. Co - her former owner - He promised to feed and clothe her and her (3) three children till Christmas - with no provocation he beat her very severely, and drove her and her little ones away - paying her nothing - and threatening to shoot her if she returned, you will please cause this matter to be investigated and report.
