Captain
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your communication of the 13th inst and to inform you in rely that your stationery was sent you on Friday last. applications for details of any sort must be made to Genl Carter the Military Commander of the District. but in the present reduced state of the military force, such ditails cannot readily be obtained and it is therefor expected that you will opt to work at once with the force you now have, and do the best that can be done with that.
Very respectfully your obedient servant
