The bearer Paul Cableton wishes to obtain their children, his wifes brother and sisters - one girl named Winna Bell and a girl and a boy named

Harris - they are reported to be living with a man named John C. Richardson living five miles from Liberty. It is also reported that the boy has been hired out to a party in Fincastle. You will render Mr. Cableton any assistance that lies in your power to enable him to obtain the children

A communication of Mr. Geo. C. Woods dated Washington D.C. Sept 6th 1865 was referred to you on the 10th Sept. Information was requested concerning the parents of Peter Call (Colored) His fathers name was John. His mother lived in 1863 with her owner B.F. Landry in Orange, Co. Va near Robinsons tavern.  No report has yet been received please inform me what action you have taken in the matter. Forward report as soon as possible -
