Send a guard at once to arrest John Winn a half Indian for the murder of Richard Schools (colored) Wilson hired by Winn was a witness. also Tom Scott living with Dr. W T Braxton in King Williams County. Winn lives on a farm called North Bay, in New Kent County, on the Pamunky River. Report you action in this cases.

In reply to your communication of the 14th November, I have Respectfully to inform you that by direction of Major Genl Howard, and by the decision of Judge Advocate Genl Holt the status of Hollybrook Farm is finally established as follows viz. The Bureau will hold control over the Farm accepting you as the tenant, under the Conditions of the lease you hold from Mr. Fisher. The Rents to October 2nd (the date of Order of Restoration) will be collected by this Bureau, after that date they will be allowed Mr. Fisher. You will be protected under the lease you now hold by the Bureau. I would Respectfully state that the acts of which you Complain were not done by this Bureau.
