Captain,
I'm reply to your communication of 25th inst in regards to applications for transportation Sent forward by you on the 6th, 8th, 20th, 21st and 22nd. No. 1. and for which transportation orders have not been Received at your Office. I beg to inform you that application of 6th inst was covered by orders No 109- 110 and 111. dated Nov 16th for which I have your receipt. No application of 8th inst. has been received. We have one dated 13th November, which was accidently laid aside, the orders of this (13th) and the applications dated 20th, 21st and 22nd inst. will be forwarded by tonights mail.

Captain,
I have the honor to inform you in answer to your letter on the 22nd inet that the apt commissioner has met funds to pay the citizens agents of the Bureau, but such as is raised from the fees of the office. The Bureau does not pay teachers, or furnish school books. Teachers and school books are furnished by associations at the north from which associations the teachers receive their pay-
