354 The Asst. Commissioner directs that you proceed at once to Petersburg Va. and stop the sale of the following property advertized to be sold at public auction, by Capt Stuart Barnes A.Q.M & Supt. 2nd Dist. Bureau R.F and A.L. 21 tons cast Iron at Petersburg Va. Boiler, Engine, Carriage Etc. at Drurys bluff. 24 horse power, 400 sets Wagon wheels, 400 parts wagon wheels at Farmville Va. You will ascertain if the Lead works at Petersburg cannot be leased for a period of three years, to better advantage, than to be torn down, and sold at auction. if so, you will stop the sale, you will remain at Petersburg, untill the completion of the sale at that place, when you will rejoin these Head Quarters without delay.
