I am directed by Col. O. Brown Asst. Commissioner to ask your attention to the case of Private Luke Connelly Co. C. 2nd Batt. 12th U.S. Infantry (orderly at these Head Quarters) who was arrested last night (on charges unknown) and confined in Libby Prison.
The Colonel requests that if the charges be not flagrant - that you will please release him - and he will be dealt with at these Head Quarters.
