Sir,
In reply to your communication dated 13th instant, the Assistant Commissioner directs me to inform you, that an official Copy of a communication from Brevet Major H.S. How, A.Q.M and Superintendent Bureau R.F. and A.L. Winchester Va. dated 23rd January 1866, recommending that you be allowed 2200 feet of lumber from the Govt barracks at Staunton was returned to Major How on the 26th January approved 
The matter is now in his hands.
