In the case of James McGuire who "thinks he enlisted in 1864," please state what part of the year he enlisted - and send if possible more evidence that he is the right man. -

In the case of John Bannister, you will please send evidence of identity - and affidavit that he has lost, or never received certificate of retained bounty. -

Daniel Munday has no retained bounty due him -

In the case of 'Nicholas Henderson, I stated in my letter of the 24th March, that "his certificate called for $100.- but that he only had $66 66/100 due". - His name appears on the original records of the mustering officer as having $66 66/100 retained from his bounty, if he chooses to receipt for that amount I will return the vouchers for his signature, if not, his certificates can be returned. -

Three or four certificates have already been found to be made out for the wrong amount, the cases of James Bright, and Axion Dublin received through you are examples, each man received $10.- more than he expected. -
