Your favor of the 5th inst. Enclosing duplicate supplementary transfer lists was duly received. In reply I beg to make thee following remarks viz:
No. 37. Ary Nottingham, and all others in which Feb: was reckoned as having 28 days, have been corrected.
No.3 Edmond Bell - has been corrected
No. 5 of Samuel Vincent - who is reported from Nov. 1st 1864 to Jan. 31st. 1865 - as only working 65 days, is correct in the opinion of the Q.M. Dept. &c. for example, the man would work a few days at a time at intervals during the month, and months - so that it was impossible to report dates - and the man was reported as working so many days from the 1st to the 30th of the month. 
All other cases similar to the above were occasioned in the same manner.
No.89. Henny Brown - 27 days from Nov 1st to Dec 31st $449 - the difference of 1ct is occasioned as follows viz:
1st Nov to 30th Dec -  19 days $5.00 per mo. $3.16
1st Dec to 30th Dec - 8 days $5.00 per Mo. 1.33 
Total $4.49
No. 128. Thomas Mason - difference of 1¢ as follows viz:
1st March to 30 March  14 days at $10.00 per mo. 4.66
1st April to 30th April 16 days at $10.00 per mo. 5.33
Total $9.99
No. 144. Jayden Green same way as above -
No. 148 Allen Franklin - same way as above - dates corrected
No. 131 Simon Bates - has been corrected - also
No. 150 Simon Bates -

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your communication dated 4th inst. enclosing copies of the Commissions of John S. Tucker and Westwood A. Todd  Notaries Public for the City and County of Norfolk Va. -
It does not matter which of these gentlemen sign papers, as both are A.P.'s - Lt. McCandle's whereabouts can be found by application to the A.G.O. Washington D.C - a colored man not free on the 19th April 1861- who enlisted 1st Jan. 1864, is not entitled to bounty - all men not free on the 19th April 1861. who enlisted before 18th July 1864 - are not entitled to bounty, unless enrolled and subject to draft at time of enlistment - All men who enlisted after 18th July 1864, are entitled to bounty - (see Instructions  Par. 1,2 and 3.)
