I am directed by the Asst. Comr. to acknowledge the receipt of your communication dated June 8th enclosing papers in the following claims for retained bounty - viz: William Smith, for William Adams, Jeremiah Scott, Augustus Everett, John White, Alexander Ramsey, Sandy H. Willard, Peter Sugar, Austin Moody, Preston Parker, Jacob Sugar, Jackson Wadkins, William Parker, August Blue, Howard Jones, and Rufin Turner, also date of James McGuire's enlistment. -

They have all been forwarded to Washington with the following exceptions which are returned herewith - viz:

August Blue - month of enlistment wrong - also christian name - the man appears to have been mustered in Dec. 14, his christian name is given as Augur.

Jackson Wadkins - Surname wrong - appears on our lists as Watkins - another witnesses signature required.

Howard Jones - Christian name wrong, appears on lists as Howells.
