You will note that some of this has been restored by orders from this office, but not dropped from your Returns.-

You will immediately cause an inspection and revise this List, dropping from the record such as has been restored, and accounting for each piece, noting against each the use to which it is applied, if rented, you will state to whom, and the amount of rent per annum.-
On your May report, you report Land &c. that were not on any previous report made by you, or the Supt. who preceeded you, to this office - You will state distinctly how this property came into your possession.

The Over-seers of the poor of Southampton County in your District, having signified their willingness to provide for colored paupers the same as whites, the Asst. Commissioner directs that you turn over to them all the colored paupers in that county. You will also ascertain if there are any others being supported by the Bureau in other Counties in your District, and who belong to the above, if so, you will take steps to have them returned.
