On the 1st day of Sept. 1866, a complete Roster of officers on duty in your District with their Head Quarters and the number of counties under their charge will be forwarded to this office.

I am directed to enclose copies of Cir. No. 10. C.S. from Bureau Head Quarters, which directs the issue of rations be discontinued except to regularly organized hospitals and to orphan asylums for Refugees and Freedmen already established.-

A copy of this order you will furnish each Asst. Supt. in your Dist. also to County officials who may be responsible for the care of the poor.

In transmitting the order to these officers, you will request them to acknowledge its receipt in writing and forward the same to this office.
