My dear  Mr. Rainer:

I thank you very kindly for your letter of June 28 regarding your invitation to me to address the 11th annual convention of the National Congress of American Indians in October at Omaha, Nebraska. At this time I am unable to definitely accept your kind invitation as I have already made other commitments during the month of October. However, I hope that by the early part of September I will definitely know whether I can be present.

I understand you will be in Gallup at the seminar during the Ceremonial at which time I am Looking forward to the pleasure of seeing you in person.
