nomination and seconded.
WOMAN'S VOICE: Mr. Chairman.
GARRY: Mrs. Iorge.
MRS. IORGE: I wish to place in nomination John Rainer.
GARRY: Any second?
WOMAN'S VOICE: I second it.
GARRY: All right. The name of John Rainer has been placed in nomination and seconded. Just a moment, I think......(line 102)....I wish there was some way that - I'm going to make a special ruling. All the people that are going to nominate, I wish you'd kindly sit out there in the audience. I'm not going to recognize you/at this time. I've promised you as the next, and I skipped him - Mr. Frank George, to make a nomination.
MR. GEORGE: Thank you, Mr. President. I'm very pleased to know that we were able to name Clarence Wesley, of the San Carlos Apache Tribe, as our Second Vice President, and, since his term of office extends for another year, tonight we are going to name six people; five of those for three-year terms, and one to serve out the expired term- to serve out the one-year term that was unexpired of Clarence Wesley's term of office. And, since there are five positions open, and, as I told you last night, that the National Congress of American Indians is going to go ahead and we are gong to try to name people who are definitely of substantial Indian blood to serve as leaders in this organization; so therefore I want to place in nomination for the office of Executive Councilmen of the National Congress of American Indians the following people. Since there are several openings, I think it's appropriate that we name - I'm going to nominate Watler Wetsel, of the Blackfee Tribe of Montana, for one of the positions; Walter Wetsel, and Ed Wilson, of Ball Club, Minnesota, who is the President of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe.
