[[Chimn??]] Now we are going to have an opportunity to have all candidates nominated that we want. 
I'd like your indulgence in recognizing this gentleman now. 
Frank George: A delegat [[strikethrough]]ion [[strikethrough]] e to this National Congress of American Indians convention. My name is Frank George and I wish to place [[strikethrough]] place [[strikethrough]] in nomination  [[strikethrough]] a [[strikethrough]] an Indian from the Southwest. He is a member of the Apache tribe. He has been long recognized as an active participant in the arena of Indian affairs both in behalf of the people of his state, the people and the Indians of the Southwest, and those of us who attend these annual conventions have gotten to know him real well and [[strikethrough]] and [[strikethrough]] respect him. He is a member of this, as I said before, of the San Carlos Apache tribe. He belongs to the Cochise Band. He [[strikethrough]] has been [[strikethrough]] is the/past chairman of the San Carlos Apache Tribal Council. [[strikethrough]] and [[strikethrough]] At the present time he is chairman of the [[strikethrough]] Elazume (?) [[strikethrough]] Arizona Inter-tribal Council, representing some 75,000 Indians of the sovereign state of Arizona. 
He is a man who understands the pertinent details concerning Indian-hood and he has known the background, [[strikethrough]] of [[strikethrough]] the cultrual background, of the American Indians, the sacred ceremonials, and he knows the life, the reservation life on the Indian reservations -- the difficult problems that confront them from day to day. He is also the manager of the tribal herd on the San Carlos reservation. He has become well
