Dear Tommie:

Ever so many thanks for your good lines of January 21st, and according to your advice I will keep the Ingres drawing here pending the arrival of our friend. 

Also, my grateful thanks for your and your wife's helpful machinations. In any case, I rely on you to keep me posted of there are any developments and, of course, I will write you from here after I have seen our friend next month.
I have just returned from a week-end in Cambridge where I saw most of our mutual friends, including, of course, Agnes whom I dined with last Saturday. She asked after you, and I gave her all the news I could.
