Dear Tommie:
I have been wanting to write you for some time but things, as you know, at this time of year in New York begin to get terrifically hectic and one really cannot call one's soul one's own. Anyhow, the art season has started off with a bang and we are all extremely busy and hopeful for a prosperous year as well.

In connection with prosperity, I wanted to write you for some information (it seems that I am always doing this). I have never forgotten our visit to Mrs. Paul Fagan's last year and I was wondering if she is still in the market for any works of art. In addition, do you know if she is in San Francisco at this time or in Honolulu? Also, does she ever come to New York, and do you think it would be advisable for me to write her directly about any particular thing? Naturally, if there is a possibility of doing business with her, I should like to have a chance, but on the other hand if she is away in Honolulu, or if she is through buying completely, it really does not make much sense for me to get in touch with her.

Have you seen Nicoll lately? Now that he is a married man does he still live in San Francisco or in the east someplace? If so, could you let me know where I could reach him, as I am very anxious to talk to him about something in particular. If he is out there and you see him, give him my best and tell him I should love to see him when he comes to New York and that he can always reach me here.

Please forgive this onslaught and, at the same time, consider what I have written as confidential.

How is Francesca and the off-spring? Give them both a kiss for me and write me soon. With all good wishes,

As ever-

Yours,
