October 4th, 1938

Dear Tommie:

Many thanks for your good lines of September 28th. I had begun to think that you had forgotten all about me, and was most interested to read that as nothing was bought at the time of the exhibition, the matter is still pending and that there is a possibility of the Museum acquiring one of these pictures.

Business in general and our activities were completely paralyzed during the past fortnight due to the war crisis in Europe. However, now that things have let up I am hoping that we may look forward to some interesting activities.
