CALIFORNIA PALACE OF THE LEGION OF HONOR
Lincoln Park
San Francisco, California

OFFICE OF THE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

April 1, 1938.

Dear Bob:

It was nice to have your letter of March 24th, but I was sorry to hear that you were so delayed in arriving in New York from Los Angeles.

Tell Helen that I have not forgotten about the photograph which I promised to send her, but I have not been able to get hold of the print I planned to send her. It will be along shortly.

Harold Parsons has been here for the past two or three days and we had a very nice visit with him.

I hope that your deal turned out satisfactorily in Los Angeles. From what you say, I infer that you were not too thrilled with the results.

I have shown Mrs. Spreckels the photograph of the tapestry but I am afraid that there is no interest in that direction. On the other hand, I have been talking over some other things with her and I am still optimistic enough to think that something may work out. I am sorry not to be more explicit but, since you have met the lady, I think you understand the difficulties of the situation.

With fondest greetings from both Howes, I am

As ever

Sincerely yours,
Tom
