CALIFORNIA PALACE OF THE LEGION OF HONOR
Lincoln Park
San Francisco, California

OFFICE OF THE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

APRIL 26, 1937.

Dear Bob,

Many thanks for your letter of April 22d and your efforts in our behalf regarding the Lehman Goya. I am terribly sorry that Mr. Lehman will not lend his picture but if he won't, he won't, and that's that.

We do have a pretty good line on the Goyas in this country but if you know of any, particularly in the hands of dealers at the present time, I shall greatly appreciate your dropping me a line.

The end of this week I am going down to the meetings of the American Association of Museums at New Orleans. I am returning via Chicago and expect to be there on the 7th of May, but just for the day. If there is any possibility of your being there at that time, I should be very glad to see you. You may drop me a line at The Roosevelt, 123 Baronne street, New Orleans, as I shall be from May 3d to the 5th.

With fondest greetings to you both, I am
Sincerely,
Tom
