Dear Tommy: 

Many thanks for your letter of October 24th.  I am indeed grateful to you for your generous offer to communicate with the Tarkington's.  I shall look forward to hearing from you in this regard. 

Also many thanks for your interest re: the de Guigne[?]'s.  I shall, in all probability, see them when they come through New York.  

I was quite amazed and flabbergasted about what you say regarding the Holker's.  I have not heard from them recently and cannot imagine why they should suddenly go home.  However, I hope to find out more about this in the near future.
