Dear Bob:

After carefully gathering together the information for which you wrote in your letter of February 19th, I discovered, upon rereading your letter, that you asked for lists of 19th and 20th century French paintings, pastels, water colors, drawings, etc. Having been under the impression that you asked for 18th and 19th century material, I neglected to take the 20th century into account. Therefore, I will have to ask you for a little more time in assembling this information. Incidentally, do you happen to have lists of paintings owned by the Crocker family here and also by Miss Harriet Levy? If not, I shall be glad to itemize these for you.

(also Mrs. Wm. A. Clark)? [[handwritten]]

I, too, am sorry that we were not able to get together for a real visit while we were in New York, but I hope that we can correct that state of affairs if you come to California this summer.

Sincerely yours,
