THE COST OF $987 INCLUDES:
TRANSPORTATION. New York-London and Paris-New York by 4-engine DC-4 airplanes to be chartered under the rules of the Civil Aeronautics Board; alternative travel by ocean liners can be arranged subject to availability and to the payment of the difference in fares, if any; in Europe by rail (3rd class in England and Switzerland, 2nd class elsewhere, with sleeper berths for night travel), Pullman motor coaches, local steamers, etc., as shown in the program;
ACCOMMODATION. Two-in-a-room basis, in good hotels and, in Goldern, in the residence buildings of the college;
MEALS. Continental breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, with emphasis on delicious local dishes everywhere; 
PROGRAM. Planned and supervised by Professor Heythum: the 20-day workshop course in Switzerland, lectures while traveling, general sightseeing, visits to museums, galleries, exhibitions and studios, meetings with prominent designers, including admissions and one ticket each in London, Milan, Rome and Paris to a theatre, concert or opera;
TUITION qualifying for six credits from Syracruse University; add $17 for each additional unit (up to a maximum of nine), if enrolled for more than six credits;
MISCELLANEOUS. Tips in hotels and restaurants; conveyance between stations, piers, etc., and hotels; the handling of one suitcase per person, not over 26x16x9" in size; an overnight-type handbag may also be brought and carried by the owner; weight of both pieces must not exceed 50 lbs. 
NOT INCLUDED in the cost are: $10 registration fee, due from each participant and non-refundable; passport and visa charges; extras and beverages at meals, not on the regular bills of fare; excursions not on the standard program; laundry, baths and other personal expenditure. 
                   GENERAL CONDITIONS
EARLY ENROLLMENT is essential. Send $260 ($250 deposit with $10 registration fee) with your completed registration form, balance of $727 before April 30th, 1951.
REFUNDS. Full refund is guaranteed (except the $10 registration fee) to participants who cancel before April 30th, and for the event that, due to world conditions or other causes, the studytour would be withdrawn; losses of participants canceling after April 30th will be kept to a minimum. No refund is due for a single service not taken, but an absence of three full days from the tour entitles to an equitable (not pro-rated) refund on condition that the claim is presented before October 31st, 1951.
ITINERARY AND COST. Arrangements are made to carry out the tour as described in this folder, but the right is reserved to minor changes, also to cancel the tour if necessary. The cost is based on tariffs and rates of exchange in force when going to press, and is subject to revision should these tariffs and rates of exchange vary later on. 
RESPONSIBILITY. All travel, hotel, etc., arrangements for this studytour are handled by STUDY ABROAD INC. The responsibility of Prof. and Mrs. Heythum is limited to educational matters, and to arrangements for the workshop course in Goldern and its activities in Switzerland. The participation of Syracuse University is confined to educational matters and to those of academic credit. STUDY ABROAD INC. and their associates are only agents to carriers, hotels, etc., whose services compose this studytour; claims for any shortcoming, delay, breakdown, etc., in these services, for any loss or damage to property or injury to passengers resulting therefrom must be directed against the said carriers, hotels, etc.
