that David Palmer drove was owned by me. This was a large dark brown mare with one eye, no white about her. He also drove a medium sized bay horse a few days. This horse had no white about him. This horse belonged to me I also owned a large sorrel horse with one white foot and tan in forehead with that wound in one of his hoofs. I bought the mare of Jacob Willie. He bought her of Mr Malony. The other two horses I purchased at Govt. Q. Mt. sale sometime in the winter of 1865 & 66. in Janry 1866 I think - Long had no claim upon any of these horses on the truck.
