Lacey to turn over the buildings at $500.00 instead of $500.00 for each, which was a misconstruction of the order dated January 30th, and advised Yardley Warner of my action as per letter marked "C." and also informed him that you, (General Brown) stated, "that if he so desired he could have free use of the buildings so long as the Bureau is continued, but that when it is discontinued the property may have to be turned over to the state for School Purposes as provided by Section 12 of the
"Bureau Bill."- To which the following telegram Marked "D" was received in reply. "Please send to Colonel Carse at Danville an order to lease buildings to George Dixon; according to act of Congress &c as sent to me - (signed) Yardley Warner, for friends Freedmens Association."

Captain Lacey was instructed on the 19th of March (as per letter marked "E.") to direct Colonel Carse to continue to allow the Friends Freedmens Association to have free use of the Bureau Buildings at Danville and on the same day wrote to Yardley Warner advicing him of my action (see letter marked "F.")

Very Respectfully
Your obedient Servant.
