It having come to the knowledge of the Commissioner that in some instances Commissioned Officers on duty in the Bureau have presented bills for medical attendance upon themselves by a private physician at places where an Acting Assistant Surgeon is employed in the service of the Bureau, he directs that in future medical attendance must be provided from the medical Officer of the Bureau on duty at the place or vicinity where the officer is sick, or the officer must pay the bill himself.  In no case will any payment be made by the Bureau for medical attendance at places where a medical officer is on duty.
