Reports that the arrangements made by him for the settlement of the trouble between the owners & the freedmen occupants of the "Taylor Farm" has been unsuccessful, the freedmen believing themselves sustained by a letter from these Head Quarters of Nov 27, 1866.

Calls attention to enclosed letters from Taziwell Taylor, Att'y for the owner and from Bvt Maj. J.H Remington.
