Public feeling as far as the former Slaveholders are concerned is very much against them, and obstacles placed at every step to impede their progress and keep them in ignorance, [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] degregation, and poverty, and make them dependants upon their Country and subservient to their wills.
