remarks which were being made by a Colored man by the name of Jones, some disturbance was created by a White man in the the crowd calling out, at the top of his voice, and addressing the speaker, "You have said enough get down or we will pull you down", deeming it the commencement of an organized plan and a part of the program of the Whites, to break up the meeting.  I thought it advisable and with the assistance of Mr Goodyear we removed him from the crowd, and upon his agreeing not to go near the meeting, or to interfere with the same or to excite others so to do, he was released, and happily he kept his promise, and there was no further interuption, and all passed off quietly.
