Respectfully forwarded to Maj. Genl. O.O. Howard, Commissioner, requesting permission to sell the within named property at public sale.
It was formerly in possession of a Bureau clerk, as Bureau property, and while in his hands, was seized for his private debts, but was relinquished by the Civil Authorities on the demand of the Bureau Officer.  It is impossible to ascertain from what source, this property was received.
