State of Virginia.
I, Charles P. Janney, Clerk of the County Court of Loudoun County, in said State, hereby certify, that the property described in the accompanying Petition of James M. Walker, as admr. of Thomas Phillips dec'd. was conveyed to R.J.T. White, on the 19" Febry, 1856, in trust to secure to said Phillips the amount mentioned in said Petition viz: $6000. with interest thereon, until said, as stated in said Petition; that the title to said land, so conveyed to said White, trustee, has never been released or conveyed to any one, so far as the records of said Court show, but is held subject to the payment of said debt; that said law is assessed upon the tax books of said County  at $15. per acre, amt'g to $3090. and that William Beverly and Samuel C. Luckett, two credible witnesses and freeholders of said County, personally appeared before me, in my Office, and made with in due form, that they were well acquainted with said land and value the same at not over the price of $15 per acre: That said Thomas Phillips has departed this life, and said James M. Walker is his duly qualified administrator.
