Mr. W. A. Wells hired thirteen freedmen at Mobile & paid their fare to this place, and directed them to remain till this evening. A white man stole them and left with them this morning for a plantation between Jackson and Vicksburg Mr. Wells has a written contract with them. Their names Charles. Wills. John. Horace. Joseph William. Green James. Benjamin. Abram. Thomas &c. Please stop them. Mr. Wells will be down tomorrow.
