I assure you that I would too be pleased if you might find it at your convenience at any time, particularly in usual months of summer, or in autumn, to visit this picturesque region and make your stay at my very humble house, 'Sunnywild,' at distance of few roads, where the night is a majestic Cascade - half-a-mile, in front, the fairy Queen Catherine's Mound - which farther beyond is sure the placid, silver shores of Senica [[Seneca]] lake. bordered upon either side by romantic hills -- could you not 'sketch' from such a scene a sweet and lovely picture?
I don't remember whether I had or not any productions of mine in former [[?]].
I may now enclose some poems - for which I will ask your kind indulgence. - I believe that I had referred to "Hist'l Sketch"- expect the 1st vol. in few weeks - shall I mail it to you at Newark - or at New York?
I can not ask that you should leave your great works of Art to communicate to me - but if you find a few moments of bonus, I would feel extremely gratified in your writing me again - though just a few lines, and shall be glad to hear from you soon.
I remain, with great Respect Very Truly. -
T. Apoleon Cheney.
