This Agreement made this 12th day of November 1868, between Lillie M. Spencer and Herman Beucke, witnesseth, 
1st That said Spencer is the owner [[crossed out]]Artist[[/crossed out]] and Painter of a certain Picture in Oil colors, size about 20 x 24. - subject,"Dandelion [[?]]"
2. That said Beucke is a Chromo-Lithographer & Publisher, at the City of New York.
3. It is agreed between said parties that said Beucke shall have the right & privilege of chromo-lithographing said picture, and selling & disposing of the same in sheets and otherwise, when complete, provided that the same be completed within three months from the 12 day of November 1868
4. It is also agreed that the copy right of said chromo-picture shall be the joint property of said Parties, as follows, viz 9/10 to said Beucke and 1/10 to said Spencer, and that any and all proceeds of sales thereof shall be divided between them at said rates, but if said Beucke should prefer to own the entire copy right, he may purchase the same by satisfactorily securing said Spencer against the loss of said 10 percent share in case said Beucke should sell or dispense of said copy right.
