Dear Mrs. Spencer,

My stupidity
was such on the day you visited me
that I asked you nothing definite that
I remember, about the photograph
of yourself. Will be kind enough
to send one? I should be glad also
of some of your own verses with
others addressed to you, if one of your
children will oblige me by making
some copies of them. If you can give
me a list of names of people who own
your chief pictures if would be of service;
you were not able to recall many of them
when you were here. But do not let this
trouble you if you have forgotten - only please
send regarding [[/]] other matters as soon
as possible.
Truly yours, Ellen T. Lander
