My Dear Madam:
Will you be kind enough to tell me if your picture of
Truth Unveiling Falsehood in the Women's Pavilion is for Sale, and what will be the lowest price you will take for it. A Gentleman wishes to purchase it, if the price is not too high- It may be necessary for me to introduce myself, I was formerly the Secretary of this Building, but from the first of June have had charge of all the Exhibits, for Sale, Foreign, as well as the work of our own Artists, paintings upon Slate, China & e-Lace, and in fact any thing for sale, at a Commission of 10 P ct - If you desire to sell your painting (and a wonderful one it is) I will be happy to sell it if possible. Hoping to hear from you at your earliest convenience I am
Very respectfully
(Mrs.) C. H. Caldwell
