International Exhibition Co., MAIN BUILDING, CENTENNIAL GROUNDS. Philadelphia, March 29th 1878. Mrs. Lilly M. Spencer Dear Madam Yours of March 27th rec.d[[received]], and in reply would say that it requires a notice of sixty days to remove Exhibits from the building. I have spoken with the President Henry D. Moore and he requested me to say to you, he would be much pleased if you would allow your Paintings to remain until after the Reopening, which occurs in the month of May, Yours Respectfully J. D. Gross Art Department P.S. the building will be closed for about ten days during april to allow for alterations and repairs, A. B. would like very much to have the Picture on your "Easel," for the opening.
