Bereau of Management

Internal Exhibition Co.,
MAIN BUILDING, CENTENNIAL GROUNDS

Philadelphia, August 26th 1878

Mrs Lilly M. Spencer

Dear Madam
A Gentleman yesterday at the Exhibition was admiring your Picture of "Truth Unveiling Falsehood."
He desires to know the lowest piece you will take for it, "Cash," I asked him to make me an offer, which he declined of doing.
Please let me know by return of mail the very "lowest figure" you will part with it for. I think he means business.

Yours very truly
