States, that several months ago, an Association of Freedmen (Lincoln Land Association) purchased a farm in the County of Warwick, held on the Land Records of that office, as the property of W. H. Curtis and which has never been restored. Asks if the provisions of Cir. Letter from the Maj. Genl. Comr. dated Washington, D.C., Nov. 5th, 1867, are to be enforced and this land now in possession and cultivated by those who bought it, is to be rented out to other freedmen.
