Two children, Lucy and Nace Dixon (col'd) have recently returned to their former master, Dr. Wm. Martin, residing about 3 miles from Wmsburg, for protection, alleging they have been ill-treated by the persons claiming them. Ada Morton, who is said to be their sister, and if so their nearest living relative, desires that the children be allowed to remain in the possession of Dr. Martin. The Bvt. Brig. Gen. Asst. Com'r. directs an investigation and report of this case to his Hd Qrs.
