A Brother to Lee Jones, was among the party charged with the offence, but his recent death prevented any further action in his case.

The old man Alexander was also cleared of his part in the matter, notwithstanding, it was through him the others were led into the difficulty.

Beside the fines, they are required to pay all the costs, which by this time amounts to a considerable sum.  As you will find an almost complete record of the case in my reports for September and November 1867, I will therefore submit it for your decision, whether any further action is necessary on my part.
