The undersigned respectfully represents that he is the owner of a certain lot in the Town Hampton, formerly and until her death in the Fall of 1865, owned by Mrs. Laura Garrett, & that he purchased it of her heirs Jany 25th. 1866. Since which time he has held quiet and undisturbed [[?]] him of it (having [[?]] several dwelling houses [[?]])until recently Francis [[?]]Freedman one of his tenants was notified not pay him any [[?]], but to pay it to the Freedmen's Bureau, as the [[?]] was on the [[?]] thereof. The undersigned [[?]] fully asks its restoration to him, as he has always [[?]] a [[?]] [[?]] and was never engaged in rebellion against the United States. None of the Freedmen will suffer by its dismissal from the books of the Bureau, as those on it have
