framed building worth I suppose $1500 or $2000. This I have offered to sell to the Bureau for $1000 together with an acre of land on which it is situated included in the price. 

The officers of the Bureau now speak of removing the building which your petitioner respectfully wishes to protest against and asks an inquiry into the facts of the case & only justice at the hands of the Government. Genl. Cocke was in the military service of the U.S. & commanded a Brigade in the war of 1812 & it seems a little hard that his services should be thus requited by oppression of his heirs at law.
