General
I have the honor to state that in view of the fact that one of the Medical Officers on duty at Richmond is boarding and the other expects soon to be boarding - and that is will interfere with their breakfast hours to open the office at 7. o'clock - I have authorized a change of the morning hours. - The office will be open, hereafter at 8. o'clock A.M. and remain open until 10. o'clock. Both Medical Officers to be promptly present. It will be open each afternoon from 4. o'clock to 6. o'clock one Medical Officer to be present - alternately. I shall make it certain that this arrangement is fully carried out by frequent inspections. I think on the whole that 8. o'clock is a reasonable hour for opening the office - as calls can at any time be made on the Physicians at an earlier hour, if necessary at their homes - I trust that this arrangement will meet with your approval

I am with much respect
Your Obt Servt.
